The ingredients in our products are listed on each product page and on the product packaging. The following ingredients are commonly used in our products, but please check the ingredients list prior to purchase for a full list of ingredients.

Coconut Oil: The primary benefit of using coconut oil in soap making is its ability to create a rich, creamy lather while also providing moisturizing properties due to its natural antibacterial and antifungal qualities, making it effective for cleansing and potentially beneficial for skin conditions like acne and eczema; it also helps to harden the soap bar, giving it a longer shelf life.

Canola Oil: Canola oil is beneficial in soap making because it provides a creamy, moisturizing lather, and is packed with essential fatty acids and vitamin E which can help soften and condition the skin without feeling greasy; making it suitable for most skin types.

Soybean Oil: Soybean oil is beneficial in soap making because it creates a creamy, stable lather, is easily absorbed by the skin, provides conditioning properties, and helps to harden the soap bar, making it a good choice for people with dry or mature skin due to its moisturizing qualities and rich fatty acid content like linoleic acid.

Shea Butter: Shea butter has many benefits when used in soap making because it makes soap more moisturizing, which can help keep skin feeling soft and supple and it creates a rich, creamy lather that's gentle on the skin.

Water: In soap making, water is essential to dissolve the sodium hydroxide (lye), allowing it to properly react with the oils and initiate the saponification process, which is the chemical reaction that creates soap; essentially, water acts as a medium to facilitate the soap-making process by diluting the lye and enabling it to mix with the oils effectively. Water evaporates out of the soap during the curing process, which makes the bar harder and longer-lasting.

Sodium Hydroxide (Lye): Lye, also known as sodium hydroxide, is a base that reacts with oils and fats to create soap and glycerin. This process is called saponification. Essentially, the lye is "used up" and becomes part of the soap itself, making it safe to use on skin.

Olive Pomace Oil: The main benefit of using olive pomace oil in soap making is that it creates a harder, more stable bar of soap compared to using pure olive oil, while still providing a moisturizing effect, and it often helps the soap reach "trace" faster, meaning the batter thickens quicker during the soap making process; additionally, it's usually a more affordable option than extra virgin olive oil.

Sunflower Oil: Sunflower oil is beneficial in soap making because it provides excellent moisturization due to its high content of vitamin E and linoleic acid, making it particularly suitable for dry or sensitive skin, while also offering a lighter texture compared to other oils, leading to a creamy lather that absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue; it's considered a stable oil with a good shelf life, making it a reliable choice for soap making.

Goat Milk: Rich in creamy fats and lactic acid, Goat Milk is known for its gentle cleansing and potential to leave skin feeling soft and nourished, when used in soap. Goat milk is a good choice for soap making because it contains many beneficial nutrients and fats that can help your skin look and feel great

Activated Charcoal: When added to soap, activated charcoal acts as a deep cleanser by absorbing excess oil, dirt, toxins, and impurities from the skin due to its highly porous structure, making it particularly beneficial for oily or acne-prone skin types, helping to unclog pores and reduce the appearance of blemishes; it can also gently exfoliate dead skin cells and potentially reduce skin inflammation.

Bentonite Clay: Known for its absorbent properties, Bentonite Clay may help draw out impurities from the skin while adding gentle exfoliation. Bentonite clay is beneficial in soap making because it acts as a natural oil absorbent, effectively drawing out excess sebum and impurities from the skin, making it especially suitable for soaps targeted towards oily or acne-prone skin types; it also provides a cleansing effect and can help to detoxify the skin by absorbing toxins

Ground Oatmeal - The fine texture of Ground Oatmeal acts as a mild exfoliant, leaving skin feeling soft and smooth. When added to soap, ground oatmeal acts as a gentle exfoliant, removing dead skin cells, while also providing soothing and moisturizing properties due to its anti-inflammatory and emollient qualities, making it ideal for sensitive or dry skin.

Sea Salt - Sea salt gently buffs away dead skin cells, leaving skin feeling smooth and refreshed. Adding sea salt to soap provides a few key benefits, including: acting as a natural exfoliant, helping to harden the soap bar, drawing moisture to the skin due to its humectant properties, and potentially aiding in balancing oil production and cleansing pores thanks to the minerals present in the salt, making it suitable for oily or acne-prone skin.
